It is believed that 85 percent of predictions made by her came out to be true. She had also predicted that in 2010, there will be the rise of Arab Spring in Syria, during which Muslims will use chemical weapons to launch attacks on European countries.

Who is Baba Vanga?

Born in Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, Vanga mysteriously lost her vision at the age of 12, during a massive storm after which she went missing. But, after several days, she was reunited with her family.

Due to acute poverty, she could not afford treatment for her eyes and spent her life in dark for the rest of her life.

As the time passed, Vanga claimed that she had the power to predict future and to heal people. Then, slowly, she became popular and scientists and historians also started consulting her. She made several startling predictions in her 50-year-career.

After having a cult following, she even served as an adviser to the Bulgarian Communist Party leaders.

For 9/11 terror attack in the US, she had foreseen in 1989 that the twin towers come down due to an attack by "steel birds". She had reportedly said, "Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing."

Her prediction came true on Sept 11, 2000, when the World Trade Center in New York, was attacked and that killed thousands of people.

In 1980, she had predicted that Russia's Kursk nuclear submarine will sink. The incident happened on August 12, 2000.

Vanga was also known as "Nostradamus of the Balkans". Before leaving the world, Vanga predicted that her legacy will be inherited by a 10-year-old blind French girl and the world will hear about her soon.
