Lights Off! World to observe Earth Hour 2015 on March 28
New Delhi, March 26: Like every year, the ninth annual Earth Hour will take place on Saturday, March 28, to raise awareness about climate change and its impact.
The Earth Hour began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia and it appeals to people and businesses to switch off lights for an hour to raise awareness about climate change.
Earth Hour is an initiative where citizens around the globe show their support for action on climate change by turning off lights for one hour.

The theme of this year's Earth Hour is Use #YourPower to help protect our world.

Rashtrapati Bhavan to observe Earth Hour
The Rashtrapati Bhavan will observe 'Earth Hour' on March 28, a statement said on Friday.
All non-essential lights in the president house and the estate will be switched off for an hour on Saturday at 8.30 pm.
Residents at the estate were advised to turn off lights and electrical gadgets in their houses for an hour.
