Kim-Trump summit in Hanoi: Vietnam PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc personally inspects preparations
Hanoi, Feb 25: All eyes will be on Vietnam over the final days of February as two of the world's most talked-about leaders - US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, will meet in the Southeast Asian nation for a two-day summit starting Wednesday (February 27). This will be their second summit since their historic meeting in Singapore in June last year.
Preparations were full on with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc personally inspecting them ahead of the high-profile summit that could see a major breakthrough in the Korean peace process. On Sunday, Phuc visited the International Media Centre in Hanoi to see the pace of the last-minute preparations, Viet Nam News reported.

The prime minister said during a meeting with relevant ministries and agencies that the summit is going to be a significant international event for regional as well as global peace and will be a central attraction for the entire world.
He also praised the efforts that were being put in by his countries' officials for make the conditions perfect for the two top leaders' meeting as well as promoting a friendly image of the host country. The PM also stressed on the safety of foreigners who will be visiting Vietnam during the event.
Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh on Saturday, February 23, inaugurated the international media centre.
