Hanoi, Feb 28: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday he was "in no rush" during talks on North Korea's nuclear programme, saying that results would be achieved over the longer term.

"Speed is not that important to me," added Trump, saying it was more important to "do the right deal" over dismantling the North's nuclear arsenal.

US President Donald Trump reached Vietnam on Tuesday, February 26, for his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inside a year. The summit is being seen as an important stepping stone towards establishing peace in the Korean Peninsula and the world will be watching closely how things go in Hanoi, the capital of the Southeast Asian nation, in the final two days in February.

The two leaders are expected to meet at least five times. The current summit is taking place eight months after the two leaders met for their maiden summit in Singapore on June 12. There they signed a four-point programme eyeing peace in Korean Peninsula though many had found the outcome to be vague.
