Japan observes 71st anniversary of Hiroshima Day
Hiroshima, Aug 6: Japan on Saturday (Aug 6) marked the 71st anniversary of the nuking of the city of Hiroshima by the US. Japan, one of the Axis Powers in the Second World War along with Hitler's Germany and Mussolini's Italy, had surrenderd on August 15, 1945.

It was around 8.15 am on August 6 that the American B-29 bomber Enola Gay dropped the bomb called "Little Boy" on the western Japanese city, reducing it to ashes and killing several thousands besides leaving the future generation endangerd because of the deadly radiations.
