Indian wins $1 million in Dubai Duty Free lottery
Dubai, Aug 1: An Indian man on Tuesday, July 31, won $1 million in Dubai Duty Free raffle, official sources said, IANS reported.
Sandeep Menon, a resident of Kuwait, became the 132nd Indian national to pocket $1 million at the raffle since its origin in 1999, according to Khaleej Times.
"I've never won anything in my life, especially not something as huge as this. I am extremely grateful to Dubai Duty Free for this great surprise," the man said.
Santhi Bose, another Indian based in Dubai, UAE, won a BMW R Nine T Scrambler motorbike.
Egyptian national Hossam Hussein Salman, also based in Dubai, won a luxury vehicle.
"According to data from two of the biggest raffle draws in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi's Big Ticket raffle to Dubai Duty Free's Millionaire Draw), Indian nationals prove to be the most lucky," the IANS report added.
