Indian origin man gets jail term in Singapore for stabbing wife
Singapore, Jun 12: An Indian origin man in Singapore was awarded 10 months jail term for stabbing his wife, media reported.
Man identified as Suresh David Narasimmalu, 29, stabbed his wife Vasentha Kumari, 30, in the abdomen in front of their two sons aged five and seven, during a Diwali shopping at Little India in Singapore on October 18, 2014, reported the Straits Times.
Narasimmalu stabbed his wife in the abdomen after heated argument took place between both of them as they walked along Race Course Road in Little India. Later he took taxi to flee.
Kumari, who was left bleeding, called the police. She spent six days in the hospital. Narasimmalu was arrested several hours later from his brother's home.
