USA: Indian American student shot dead
New York, Jan 21: An Indian American student, Pulkit Singh (20) was found dead in his off-campus room in Philadelphia. He was pursuing dual degrees from Wharton School of Business and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Penn.

Incidentally, Pulkit and his brother Ankur, then 13 and 12 years old, found their parents shot dead after coming back from school seven years ago.

He and his brother discovered his parents shot dead 7 years ago.

Pulkit's body was discovered in his room last week, as reported The Daily Pennsylvanian, a college newspaper. The Philadelphia health department and campus police are investigating the matter. Although investigators have ruled out criminality, the college newspaper suspects that the reason for the death might not be determined for months.

Meanwhile, Pulkit's uncle Joginder Singh said,"He was the star of our family, and he had a brain that could think at least 10 or 12 years ahead of his time." In an interview in 2011, Pulkit had confessed that the murder of his parents haunted him and that he was saddened by the fact that the murderers were still at large. The police at that time had suspected that they were victims of hate crime.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Pulkit was to graduate from both his courses next year.
