Hindu MP gives befitting reply after being mocked in Pakistan parliament
Islamabad, June 26: Fed up with repeatedly being called Hindu and cow worshiper, an MP in Pakistan gave a befitting reply in Pakistan parliament, media reported.
"Patriotism to one's nation is not dictated by religion. A Hindu in Pakistani, is still a Pakistani, and a loyal and patriotic one at that," Pakistani lawmaker Lal Malhi made this comment during an ongoing session a few days back.
Malhi is a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's member of the national assembly (MNA) on a minority seat.
Malhi was addressed as 'cow-worshiper' by a number of parliamentarians a few days prior to the session.

1-year of Modi govt: Citizenship to Hindus from Pakistan, Afghanistan quadrupled
Pakistan is home to four million Hindus. Hindus were not allowed to join the armed forces until before 2000, and they were only welcomed in the national military during the reign of Pervez Musharraf.
