Google intend to make package delivery by drones a reality soon
Washington, Nov 3: Come 2017 and you may be able to get your package delivered at your door step by drone.
According to reports, Internet giant Alphabet Inc, the new holding company for Google working in this direction to turn the dream into a reality by 2017.
"My company is in talks with the Federal Aviation Administration and other stakeholders about setting up an air traffic control system for drones that would use cellular and Internet technology to coordinate unmanned aerial vehicle flights at altitudes under 500 feet (152 meters)," said David Vos, the leader for Alphabet's Project Wing.
"Our goal is to have commercial business up and running in 2017," said he, reported BBC.

Online retailers such as Amazon, Alibaba and others are also experimenting with drone delivery.
Details about Project Wing came out in 2014. Initially it was run inside Google X - the firm's secretive research lab.
