French President affair: Valerie Trierweiler 'ready to forgive' him
According to a news report, Valerie, who was hospitalised following the scandalous report of Closer magazine on Hollande's affair, told her friends that she is ready to forgive him for having a secret affair with Julie Gayet, a 41-year old actress, but only if she receives "clarification" about his intentions.
"She seems prepared to forgive (him), she doesn't want to slam the door on a whim," a 'close friend' told the French capital's daily.
Valerie Trierweiler wants to know what Hollande's intentions are.
"But she wants to know very quickly what François Hollande's intentions are."
On Sunday, Valerie's office announced that she had been admitted to hospital due to depression and extreme fatigue.
Valerie Trierweiler is a journalist and an unmarried mother-of-three for whom Hollande left fellow Socialist politician Segolene Royal, the mother of his four children.
On Friday, Hollande complained of breach of privacy and considered legal action after French magazine Closer alleged he was having an affair with an actress Julie Gayet.
Hollande slammed the report as an outrageous attack on his right to a private life but has not denied the substance of Closer's claims.
