London, Aug 1: On Tuesday a court at London hearing the extradition case of Vijay Mallya witnessed some interesting arguments. The court sought for a video of the prison where Mallya would be lodged.

India said that Mallya would be lodged in the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai. When the case is taken up by the London court on September, India would provide the video of the jail where Mallya will be lodged.

Mallya, however through his lawyers argued that the photographs of the cell provided by India showed no natural light in the cell. There is no fresh air either, the lawyers contended. It was further argued that the photographs were taken using a technique to show light within the building. How will the sun get through this huge wall, Clare Montgomery, arguing for Mallya submitted.

India however submitted that the jail convictions complied with those of the Human Rights Commission. He would be put up in barracks with fresh air, light, a private western styled toilet and clean bedding, India submitted through Mark Summers.

Judge Emma Arbouthnot said that she could not go by the photographs of Barrack 12 that India had provided. The judge asked India to film any man going into the prison through the door shown in the photographs. Can we shoot it during mid-day? I want to see some natural light, sunlight, whether the windows pick up any natural light, the judge also said.

Mallya, it may be recalled had suffered a setback in a case related to debt recovery brought by 13 banks.
