Donelan Andrews is known to have an eye for details and she also tells her students to read the fine print of every document that they get, be it examination questions or a life-insurance policy. For those who might have thought her to be a maniac, she recently achieved a feat that will silence them.

The 59-year-old Andrews recently purchased an insurance package while planning for a trip to England in the event that she would have to scrap, the Washington Post reported. As per her habit, she went through the documents in detail and discovered something unusual written on the seventh page.

It was written there that the first person to read everything and discover the contest would bag a prize money of $10,000 (almost Rs 7 lakh), Squaremouth reported.

"If you've read this far, then you are one of the very few Tin Leg customers to review all of their policy documentation," the text read, adding that the person who read it must email Squaremouth and mention the contest to win the prize.

Andrews shot the mail immediately and eventually won the money.

"I always read all the fine print," she was quoted as saying by The Washington Post. "I know I sound like a nerd, but I learned to read contracts so you don't get taken advantage of."

Andrews plans to arrange for a trip to Scotland with her husband to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary, USA Today reported.
