Every dog has its day: 9/11 rescue dog turns 16, celebrates her birthday in New York
New York, Sept 14: Bretagne, a dog who worked at the 9/11 site turned 16 recently and her birthday was celebrated with much fanfare in New York.
Bretagne who turned 16 on August 25 and her owner were part of Texas Task Force 1 and worked at the World Trade Centre after it was attacked by militants on September 11, 2001.
They worked to find people trapped under the debris.
Bretagne and her owner came to New York on August 22 to celebrate her birthday, was given warm welcome, reported USA Today.

During her day-long celebration, Bretagne ate a gourmet cheeseburger, played with toys and explored the city in a vintage taxi during her all-expenses-paid trip.
