Video: Donald Trump as US president was predicted 16 years ago!
Washington, March 18: No joke perhaps has proved to be so cruel in the history of the United States. "Bart to the Future", one of the episodes of "The Simpsons"----an American animated sitcom (situation comedy)---which was aired 16 years ago on March 19, predicted Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the ongoing American presidential election as the president of the US!
Dan Greany, who had writen that episode, told The Hollywood Reporter that predicting Trump as the country's president was a sort of warning to the US, which he thought was "going insane", The Hollywood Reporter said.
In that 16-year-old episode which has suddenly grabbed the headlines today when stopping Trump from getting the Republican Party's nomination is looking increasingly difficult, Bart is shown a vision of his life. While he is shown to be a loser in his adult life, Lisa becomes the first woman president of the US.
"As you know, we've inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump," the episode showed Lisa telling her staff after they informed her the country is broke due to her predecessor, Trump himself.
Greany, who is still involved with the show as a consulting producer, however, cannot recall who actually gave the idea but he felt it made sense. [Trump or Sanders? US military is divided]
He told the Holywood Reporters that Lisa took charge of the presidency after the US was left in a shocking state by the Trump presidency. [Missouri goes down to wire for both parties]
The episode earned criticism them because of Bart's dark outlook but today, when Trump looks unstoppable and has put a large section of Americans in a deep worry, Greany has been getting a lot of phone calls on the episode.
