Disney: 2-year old boy dragged into lagoon by alligator
Disney, June 15: After news broke out of a 2-year old boy being dragged into the Lagoon by an Alligator at Disney World, a massive search operation was launched in seach of him. The incident happened at a Disney World hotel in Orlando.
The boy was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa around 9:20 pm on Tuesday.Orange County Sherrif Jerry Demings said the family of five had arived from Nebraska for a vacation. He said that the family was relaxing on the beach at the time of the attack where 'no swimming' signs were posted.
Demings said, "The father entered the water and tried to grab the child but he was not successful in doing so. I'm told that at some point, the mother also entered the water.'
The boy playfully went into the water with his mother and that is when the alligator attacked. The nearest lifeguard was alerted but they were not able to save the boy and the father was left with scratches after the ordeal. Over 50 law enforcement personnel have been deployed to search the lake. "We are not leaving until we recover the child."
