Dhaka restaurant attack: Indians among hostages
Dhaka, July 2: Indian nationals are also thought to be among the hostage taken by gunmen who attacked a café in Bangladesh's capital city.
The hostage crisis started at Holey Artisan Bakery in the diplomatic quarter of the Bangladeshi capital late Friday.
Indians among hostage has been confirmed by duty officer at the Rapid Action Battalion's (RAB) control room, reported the Times of India.
Terrorist group Islamic State (IS) has claimed that its gunmen have killed 24 people and wounded 40 of them in the attack at the restaurant.

The restaurant a popular joint was targeted as it houses a large number of foreigners. Targeting foreigners always gives terrorist groups the large amount of publicity that they thrive on.
Authorities in Bangladesh say that currently 20 persons are being held hostage and the first priority would be to pull them out safe.
A kitchen staffer among 10 who managed to escape said the attackers chanted "Allahu Akbar".
