The announcement was made by the foreign office, Dawn online reported.
"I can confirm that the Chinese president will be visiting Pakistan from April 20 to 21," Dawn online quoted FO spokesperson Tasneem Aslam as saying during a weekly media briefing in Pakistan.
"A number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and agreements is likely to be signed during his visit to Pakistan," she said.
Chinese President Xi Jinping likely to visit Pakistan
Pakistan has been looking forward to the Xi's visit for the last ten months, but at least two scheduled visits one in March this year and another in September last year were postponed during the period.
The Chinese president was expected to attend the Pakistan Day parade on March 23, according to the earlier plan.
President Xi is expected to address a joint session of parliament on the second day of his visit, date for which is yet to be finalised.
