Brussels, Mar 28: Authorities in Brussels are yet to announce a firm date for resuming services at the airport. Tests would be carried out on March 29 to see if repair work was satisfactory, media reported.

"Brussels Airport Company is currently studying a temporary solution to partially resume passenger flights, taking into account the new security measures that apply at Belgian airports, decided by the federal government. Passenger flights are not expected to resume before Tuesday 29 March," said a statement issued by the airport authorities on Saturday.

Terror struck Brussels on March 22 as two deadly blasts - blamed on a suicide bomber - ripped through the Zaventem airport killing at least 13 people and a third explosion followed at a Metro station in the heart of the Belgian capital, claiming 15 more victims.

The blasts took place four days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, the main suspect in the Paris attacks in November. Abdeslam was arrested in Brussels.
