Blast in Karachi kills three, 15 injured
Islamabad, Oct 21: At least three people have been killed and 15 injured in an explosion near Karachi's Gulshan-i-Iqbal area on Wednesday. The nature of explosion was immediately unknown.
The explosion was reported on the ground floor of the four-storey Allah Noor Apartments in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The apartments are opposite the Karachi University gate.
However, Mubina Town police SHO said that it "seems to be a cylinder blast", adding that the bomb disposal squad is arriving to verify cause of the explosion.

At least two floors of the building near Maskan Chowrangi in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area in Karachi were severely damaged, creating fears that casualties may rise.
Rescue officials confirmed three deaths due to the explosion, the nature of which is unknown.
Seven of the injured are said to be in critical condition, police said.
The security forces have cordoned off the area.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has sought a detailed report of the incident from the authorities.
