Amazon founder Jeff Bezos remained at number three, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg at number five and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison at number seven in the list.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates once again topped the Forbes magazine list of the world's richest billionaires, while US President Donald Trump slipped more than 200 spots, the magazine said on Monday. Gates, whose wealth is estimated at $86 billion, led the list for the fourth straight year.
Warren Buffett
Berkshire Hathaway chief Warren Buffett also made it to among the top 10 billionaires. Buffett's wealth was estimated at USD 75.6 billion.
Donald Trump
Trump himself slipped 220 spots on the list to number 544 with an estimated USD 3.5 billion. Forbes attributed Trump's drop to sluggishness in the Manhattan real estate market which is responsible for a disproportionate amount of his wealth.
Mark Zuckerberg
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is Silicon Valley's wealthiest billionaire and the fifth richest man in the world, with a net worth of $56 billion, according to Forbes' 31st Annual World's Billionaires List.
Larry Ellison
Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison at number seven with net worth of $52.2 billion.
Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani is India's highest-ranked at the 33rd spot with a net worth of $23.2 billion.
Jeff Bezos
Amazon's Jeff Bezos landed at No. 3 for the first time with a net worth of $72.8 billion.
Amancio Ortega
Clothing retailer Amancio Ortega dipped to No. 4 with a net worth increasing to $71.3 billion.
The global billionaire population jumped 13 per cent from last year to 2,043, the biggest annual increase in the 31 years since the magazine began compiling the list.
The US led countries with the most billionaires with 565, a product of the swelling value of the American stock market since Trump's November 2016 election.
China was second with 319 billionaires, and Germany was third with 114.
This year it took at least USD 3.7 billion in wealth to make it onto the list, but only in a tie for 501th place, a group that included Hollywood director Steven Spielberg.
