London, June 8: A Flybe flight from Southampton to Dublin forced to make an emergency landing due to presence of bee in the tail in UK, media reported.

Dublin bound Flybe flight 384 made a beeline back to Southampton Airport when the pilot became concerned for the safety of its passengers, The Telegraph reported.

A bee was found in the tail when engineers searched the plane on the ground, which did not survive the ordeal.

The plane had been in the air for around ten minutes before returning to Southampton.

"We were probably ten to 15 minutes out of Southampton and they said they had some issues with the navigational systems," a passenger was quoted as saying.

"They were being light-hearted about it and the pilot was telling us about the bumblebee's remains being removed from the instruments.

"There were a few grumbles when we turned back but the air stewardess was quite funny."

A Flybe spokesman said: "Flybe can confirm that flight BE384 travelling to Dublin returned from airborne to Southampton following a suspected technical issue."
