Apple and pear for full vegetarian meal in this flight
Hogarty was served with a pear and apple neatly wrapped in plastic along with a fork and a knife.
Seldom would anyone call the meals served onboard a flight fulfilling? But what was served to Steve Hogarty on the Colombia's Avianca Airlines when he asked for a vegetarian meal is totally bizarre.
Hogarty was served with a pear and apple neatly wrapped in plastic along with a fork and a knife. When someone asks for a vegetarian meal on the flight, what is usually expected is that they would get a vegetable sandwich or at least a salad. A whole pear and apple with a knife and fork are laughable, it may even irk a person if he is famished.
Hogarty took to Twitter to share a photo of what he was served. A flurry of reactions poured is, as several people shared a similar experience they had.

"This happened to me once on a long haul flight from the UK to Canada. I was given an orange and a kiwi fruit. I was starving," tweeted one Ros Baker in response to Hogarty's tweet.
Another person tweeted a photograph of oranges and apples on a tray and wrote, "I asked for a veggie meal on a flight once and this is what I got. At least yours was wrapped."
The Avianca Airlines took note of these tweets and responded by saying that they would investigate the matter.
