Chandrayaan-2: 8 things you must know about ISRO's ambitious moon mission
New Delhi, June 27: ISRO will acheive many firsts with the ambitious Chandrayaan 2 mission in which India's premier space agency would land a lunar craft, Pragyan Rover, near Moon's south pole, unexplored territory currently. Chandrayaan-2 will be launched on July 15 at 2 hours 51 minutes. Chandrayaan-2 would have 13 payloads and one passive experiment from American space agency NASA. ISRO had said earlier that eight payloads on Orbiter, three on lander and two on Rover and one passive experiment from NASA would be carried on Chandrayaan-2. Chandrayaan 2 is an advanced version of the previous Chandrayaan 1 mission successfully launched about 10 years ago.
