Massive clashes and protests have been reported in Zakir Musa's native village in Nor Pora.

People have blocked roads making it difficult for security forces to proceed with their operation.

While some media reports suggests that Musa has been trapped by the security forces, there is no official confirmation on the matter yet.

The former Hizbul Mujahideen leader was named the chief of Indian wing of Al-Qaeda in July.

Musa is alleged to have incited the youth of the Kashmir for stone pelting on security forces.

In the video posted on social media, Musa said the protesters should not pelt stones in the name of nationalism, 'but for Islam. He also warned the Jammu and Kashmir Police of alarming consequences which can take place due to an upcoming 'war' and asked them to stop supporting the armed forces.
