YSR paid naxalites money to kill me says Chandrababu Naidu
Gangi Reddy was recently arrested in a red sanders smuggling case.
Y S Rajasekhar Reddy paid money to naxals to kill me, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu alleged. He had a hand in an attempt on my life by naxalites in 2003, Naidu told reporters.
This statement was in response to Reddy's son and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's recent comment about shooting Naidu dead in public for allegedly cheating the people.
It may be recalled that Naidu had survived an assassination bid on October 2 2003, when a landmine missed his vehicle while he was on his way for a religious function at Tirumala hills.
Naidu told journalists that YSR had allegedly provided for logistical support. He had helped the naxals source mobile funds and even gave funds, Naidu further said. He further alleged that the support was provided through one of YSR's supporters, Gangi Reddy.

"Jagan has a criminal brain. And that is the reason why he talks of killing me," Naidu said.
"What crime have I committed? Even in the past, he asked people to beat me with chappals. But I never lost my cool. Even when his father conspired to eliminate me, I did not express my anger," Naidu further said.
