You sexually abused our women, we killed your jawans: Maoist leader on Sukma attack

The spokesperson said that it was the corporate media that was spreading false news about the bodies of the jawans being mutilated.

The Dand Karanya Special Zonal Committee of the Communist Party of India-Maoist said that the attack on the CRPF team in Chhattisgarh was in retaliation to sexual violence against women. In an audio clip that was released, the spokesperson of the DKSZC, Vikalp also denied mutilating the bodies of the 25 jawans who were killed in the attack on Monday.

He goes on to say that the attack was an answer to the security forces and the government. "These attacks are retaliatory to take forward the pro-people struggle," he also said. The spokesperson, while congratulating the military wing of the Naxals said the attack should be seen as a retaliation against the sexual atrocities being committed by the security forces against tribal women. "This attack was to protect the dignity of the tribal women who are being sexually assaulted by the security forces in conflict zones," the statement read. He further said that the security forces had clicked objectionable photographs of the tribal women and circulated it.

In the statement, Vikalp says that they oppose the road project. He says that the road projects are being undertaken to loot the natural resources. "It would help to loot natural resources from the forests and transport it easily," it says.

Corporate media lying:

The spokesperson said that it was the corporate media that was spreading false news about the bodies of the jawans being mutilated. "We do not treat the dead bodies of jawans with disrespect. It is the media that falsely propagates such things," the statement read.

In fact, it is the police and security forces that hand out such treatment with the bodies of our people. "Many dead bodies of the Maoists have been mutilated by the security forces. They also delay in giving the dead bodies to the family members," the statement read.

He went on to add that this attack must be seen as a retaliation also against the exploitation of the Dalits, the tribals and the minorities and the attacks on their culture and economic lifestyle by the Brahmanic, Hindutva, Fascist, Sanghi, and the Bharatiya Janata Party governments and the direct involvement and active protection of the police and security forces.

Jawans not our enemies:

Vikalp also said that the jawans are not their enemies. "However, they are coming in the way of public welfare by being part of the government's anti-people programmes," the statement read. He appealed to the jawans to stop fighting for the politicians, contractors and corporate mafia.

"Do not lose your life by protecting such people," the statement read. "Give up your government jobs and instead fight for protecting the welfare of the people," Vikalp said.
