You are not worth the dust of Amar Singh's feet: Shivpal at SP meet
The statement comes in the wake of Akhilesh Yadav's supporters referring to Singh as an outsider and the man responsible for this feud.
Trying to set the record straight, Shivpal who was sacked on Sunday by Akhilesh as minister said, "Tum log to unke pairo ki dhool ke layak bhi nahi ho." (You are not worth the dust at his feet.) I have been in touch with Singh and I have never hidden that fact," Shivpal also said.
Shivpal's speech which was delivered after the address by UP CM Akhilesh Yadav had strong words for those who were booing him."Indiscipline will not be tolerated," he said.
"This party is what it is because of Netaji (Mulayam). Only those who are unauthorised are shouting. I could have also called in my people and shouted. I have contributed to the party. I have been working since 1972, the year the CM was born," Shivpal said.
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav said that he never said he would float a new party. However, Shivpal said, "He told me that he would float a new party. Yes he told me that."
An emotional Shivpal went on to ask, "Have I contributed nothing? Netaji appreciated me. My ministry has done well. Netaji you know that. What is my fault in all this? I have listened to both the CM and Netaji."
"The SP will not tolerate liars. Everyone in the party must work towards winning the UP election. I welcomed the decision to make Akhilesh president of the party. Did I work any less than Akhilesh? I made calls to Ajit Singh and several MLAs to ensure that we won seats in the MLC and Rajya Sabha polls. Akhilesh never made any such calls," Shivpal also said.
"Netaji you are an alternative to Modi. Who has let you down? We will form the next government in UP under the leadership of netaji. You have to take charge now," Shivpal also said.

Manwhile, Akhilesh Yadav who broke down several times during his speech alleged that there was a conspiracy against him. "I have been the dutiful son and only worked for the welfare of the people. Netaji had you asked me to resign, I would have done just that," Akhilesh further stated.
"I am not forming any party," he said while stating that these were lies that were spread. "Netaji you asked me to sack bureaucrat Prajapathi and I did it. I was very hurt when I heard that you wanted to remove me from the party. This is your party," an emotional Akhilesh also said.
