Yogi Adityanath to leave for Uttar Pradesh, cuts short campaign in Karnataka
The BJP star campaigner Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath cut short his campaign in Karnataka to visit areas affected by dust storms and heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh. A day before he was criticised by CM Siddaramaiah for campaigning in Karnataka in amidst natural calamity. Yogi Adityanath was supposed to be in the state till Saturday, addressing multiple rallies.
In a tweet, the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah started with expressing his condolences for the deaths. "I am sorry your CM is needed here in Karnataka. I am sure he will return soon and attend to his work there," he tweeted.
"I am sorry your CM is needed here in Karnataka. I am sure he will return soon and attend to his work there," he said. After Yogi Adityanath completed his rallies for the day, the UP chief minister tweeted that officials had been ordered to compile an estimate of the damage by Friday evening.
"Siddaramaiah jhooth bolne mein bahut siddhast (perfect) hain. I am personally monitoring relief work in the areas affected due to heavy rain and dust storms in UP. I will visit those areas tomorrow, " Yogi Adityanath told ANI.
He said, "BJP will win the Karnataka elections and Congress will lose because of its divisive politics and corrupt policies."
CM Yogi Adityanath will reach Agra tonight and visit the areas affected by rain and dust storms. News agency ANI reported that will review the relief and restoration works tomorrow morning. He will then leave for Kanpur to monitor the restoration work there.
