With Kovind sworn in as President, minister Mahesh Sharma gets his house back
Sharma has been the go to man for the BJP whenever there is an accommodation crunch.
Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma will get his house back today after Ram Nath Kovind took over as the President of India. Sharma had to move out of the 10, Akbar Road residence when Kovind was chosen as the NDA's candidate for President.
Initially Sharma had chosen the house at 10 Rajaji Marg. However he had to move out of it after Pranab Mukherjee chose the residence as his retirement abode. After moving out of 10 Rajaji Marg he decided to shift to Akbar road which was occupied by former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

After Parrikar decided to leave for Goa to take over as Chief Minister, Sharma occupied that house on Akbar Road. However after Kovind was nominated, he had to move out of the house.
Sharma has been the go to man for the BJP whenever there is an accommodation crunch. He is the chosen man since his personal residence in the Delhi-Noida border which is just 10 kilometres from the Parliament.
