New Delhi, Jun 22: A day ahead of Delhi's Budget Session, BJP on Monday charged the AAP dispensation with rampant "violation" of constitutional norms and said it would corner the government in the Assembly over a host of issues including a former law minister's alleged fake degree case and power.

The rival party also warned the Arvind Kejriwal government against the use of "strong arm-tactics" like deployment of marshalls inside the Assembly, saying such methods does not "scare" the party's MLAs and threatened to launch a "large-scale protests".

As per Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta, the party has prepared a strategy to attack the government, by highlighting its "ineptness" and "hypocrisy", both inside and outside the House, during the six-day-long session that starts tomorrow.

The party that has three MLAs in the 70-member House, is eyeing to corner the AAP dispensation over former law minister Jitender Singh Tomar's alleged fake degree case, and issues pertaining to power, water, and the municipal corporations.

Gupta accused AAP of using its "brute majority" to "violate and subvert all established constitutional norms and practises".

"We want the chief minister to state his position on his minister's fake degree by making a statement in the floor of the House," Gupta said.

Decrying the government for not appointing Lokayukta, he also sought to know as to why the anti-corruption branch was not registering cases against AAP MLAs, who he alleged have "serious charges against them".

"Why is the ACB not opening the files against the MLAs? Why did not it act against Tomar, Vishesh Ravi and Surinder Singh? If Lokayukta was here, they would have been indicted of corruption like Sheila Dikshit," Gupta claimed.

BJP's South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri vowed to "expose" the government's alleged "hypocrisy" of providing perks and benefits to the 21 Parliamentary Secretaries while keeping them "out of the purview" of office of profit clause.

Bidhuri also spoke of the party's decision to demonstrate outside the Assembly premises till the Fourth State Finance Commission "is tabled" in the House, claiming its non- implementation had resulted in the recent crisis in the three civic bodies in the city.

BJP also claimed that the State Finance Commission report had recommended increasing the share of local bodies in the state government's tax revenues from the "current 4 per cent to 12.5 per cent".

"That would solve the whole issue." Raking up the issue of the latest tv campaign of the government, BJP alleged that AAP was guilty of "contempt of court" as it was in "violation" of a the Supreme Court order in this regard.

"Crores are being spent on advertisements. Taxpayers money is being misused to glorify Kejriwal. This is open violation of the SC order which amounts to contempt of court. We will take on the government over this as well," Bidhuri alleged.

Taking on the government over power regulator DERC's decision to announce a revised tariff, Bidhuri said, "They are talking of a six per cent hike already. I wonder what relationship they have developed with the discoms after coming to power."

The budget session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held from June 23 to June 30. BJP said no development had taken place due to the "delay" till now in tabling the Budget.

Gupta alleged the government was disregarding the opposition and "the situation is such that, till four days ago, even the Assembly Secretary did not know when the Session was supposed to start."
