New Delhi, July 29: In a bizarre incident, the Indian Parliament had an unusual visitor other than MPs and lawmakers, on Thursday, July 28. Reportedly, a monkey was seen roaming in the House library, adjoining the Central Hall.

It has been reported that the simian's menace continued for half an hour in the reading room of Parliament, meant for MPs and journalists.

A TOI report says that an adult monkey was seen jumping on the tables and it also climbed up electrical wires in the gallery area of the library.

Almost after thirty minutes, the animal finally left by the main gate of the building, from the side meant for VIPs.

Security staff who were posted at the Central hall also had to work really hard to drove the monkey away.

The moment security officials saw monkey in the reading room, they immediately shut the door of the main entrance of the Central Hall so that the animal couldn't invade the area where MPs, ministers and journalists, along with the catering staff are always present in good numbers.

Earlier in May, a "hyperactive and terrified" Nilgai that caught everyone's attention while running frenzied near Parliament House, was rescued by the wildlife officials.

The Asiatic antelope, identified as an adult female, was trapped using rescue nets and was found to be in good health after undergoing checkups in a special animal ambulance of the wildlife conservation organisation Wildlife SOS.

A team of 10 rescuers from Wildlife SOS, members from Wildlife Trust of India, Delhi Forest Department and Delhi Police caught the Nilgai.
