The Mohammad Nalapad Haris bail case has been out of bounds for the media. For the second time, the media persons were not allowed to cover the bail proceedings of Congress MLA, N Haris's son who is accused of assaulting a person at a pub in Bengaluru.

While citing security reasons, the media were denied entry into the 62nd court hall in the city civil and sessions court. While on Monday media persons were denied entry, a similar occurrence took place on February 21 when the matter came up for hearing.

The police, however, tried to shift the blame on the court and said that they were acting as per the orders of the judge. When the media personnel met with the registrar he said that there is not enough place in the court hall. It would cause a law and order problem and it is very difficult to control a crowd in the court hall, the registrar said.

While the registrar refused to issue any written order, he told the media that a poster would be pasted in which it would be stated that the media is banned from entering the court hall.

However, this led to an altercation. Finally, the registrar relented and permitted only five media personnel to be present in the court hall.
