What does Yasin Bhatkal have in his pocket?

New Delhi, July 10: Did Yasin Bhatkal, the head of the Indian Mujahideen used a mobile phone in jail or not? While we would need to await a report from the jail authorities on the matter, here is a photograph of Yasin's shot outside the court that would set everyone thinking as to what exactly does he have in his pocket.

Is it a mobile phone or a booklet? This has been a debating point among journalists who were present at the Hyderabad court where Yasin was produced yesterday.

What is Yasin carrying in his pocket?

Yasin appeared in court dressed in a cream shirt and denims. Neatly gelled hair and sporting a big smile on his face he appeared in court. However the cameras that were clicking away spotted something strange in his pocket.

The mystery object in Yasin's pocket became a subject matter of debate considering he was being produced before the court for the first time after allegations of him using a mobile phone in jail broke out.

While some journalists vouched that it was indeed a mobile phone, others felt that he would not be so stupid to carry one especially in the backdrop of such allegations.

The discussions went a step ahead with some analyzing the object in his pocket. Many felt that he was carrying a pocket sized Quran. Many seemed to be in agreement about this version.

To further the arguments some even asked if the jail authorities would be so stupid to allow him to carry a mobile especially to court in the backdrop of such allegations.

As cameras clicked away and debates were reaching newer heights, Yasin in handcuffs walked with the police sporting a wide grin on his face. His body language suggested that he was mocking everyone around him.

Yasin has always mocked the police

Yasin Bhatkal has been an interesting candidate for an interrogation for the various police officials. Report sought from jail authorities

The Hyderabad court yesterday sought a report from the Cherlapalli jail authorities in Hyderabad about the use of a mobile phone by Yasin Bhatkal. It was alleged that he was given access to a mobile phone. It was further alleged that he had made a call to his wife during which he had said that his friends in Damascus would help him escape.

The jail authorities dismissed this as baseless and said that he had made two calls from the jail phone which is permitted as per the rules. All mandatory rules were followed and when he spoke with his family there was security around him. We shall submit the same before the court, a prison official informed OneIndia.
