WB: Baby boy born with 4 arms, 4 legs; dubbed as “Hindu God” by parents

South 24 Parganas, Nov 22: Thousands of locals of Baruipur village in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal are flocking to worship a baby, who has been born with 4 arms and 4 legs.

Born as an underdeveloped twin, with rare deformity, the baby boy has been dubbed as the "God" by his parents.

According to Daily Mail report, the locals believe that the the boy is a reincarnation of the Hindu God "Brahma".

Thousands of villagers have been rushing to have a glimpse of the "God boy" at the hospital, where he is being admitted and treated.

The parents and family members of the newly-born baby are elated that the God has taken birth in their home.

However, the doctors have said that the two extra arms and two extra legs, are the remains of an underdeveloped co-joined twin.

A policeman was quoted as saying, "This is a freak baby and it is tragic, there is nothing godly about him at all. But the crowds are going berserk and clamouring to see the child."

"Hundreds are crying in the streets, hundreds of others are praying and setting up camp here. Some are even panicking and believe this is a sign of the end of the world", he added.
