Weather forecast for February 12: Light rain, snow likely over J&K, Himachal Pradesh

New Delhi, Feb 11: Here is the weather forecast for Bengaluru, Delhi, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Mumbai on February 12.

Bengaluru:

In the last 24 hours, the garden city Bengaluru witnessed cloudy weather and in some parts of the city rain continued on Sunday too i.e on February 11. Though rains brought respite from heat, many areas complained of lack of power supply. All these weather activities have mainly occurred, due to the presence of an easterly trough extending from Comorin region to Rayalaseema across Interior Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. As per Skymet weather, during the next 24 hours, isolated thunderstorm activities with light to very light rains are likely over Madhya Maharashtra and parts Interior Karnataka.

Delhi:

Dry weather conditions will prevail over Delhi and NCR area on February 12. As per Skymet weather, in wake of Western Disturbances which will be approaching in quick successions, sky conditions will become partly cloudy on February 13. However, bright sunshine will persist during day hours. Also, Air pollution to increase further in Delhi NCR and settle between poor to very poor category. Minimum temperatures to rise further across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh:

all the three hilly states of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand were running rain deficient till mid-January. However, the last long spell of January from Jan 21 to 23 made all the difference and rain performance went positive for entire Northwest hills. As predicted by Skymet weather, in the next two days as well, these three states will experience a lean period with minimal rain activity. Yet another mild but widespread spell is being forecast on February 13 to 15 for a duration of three days. On February 16 and 17 however, rains will get grim. These upcoming rains are again painting a good scenario as more and more activities will keep visiting the region until March, in the time to come.

Mumbai:

This season, the state of Maharashtra has been performing quite well in terms of recording low minimums and maximums. According to Skymet Weather, in wake of an upper air trough, which is developing along the western coast, the wind profile now will undergo a change over entire Maharashtra. As a result, temperature pattern will steadily rise. Moreover, with the approaching of a new system, light rain and thundershower activities will occur at some places over South Madhya Maharashtra during next 24 hours. Thereafter, the weather pattern will shift northwards towards North Madhya Maharashtra and we expect same weather activity on February 12 as well. February 13 onward, weather will become dry over entire Maharashtra with a rise in temperatures. However, the Vidarbha region will experience light rain and thundershowers on February 14 and 15.
