Weather forecast for Aug 17: Heavy rains predicted for next 24 hours in Kerala
New Delhi, Aug 17: A fresh surge of the westerly winds will intensify the monsoons in Kerala, Karnataka and the ghat areas of Tamil Nadu over 48 hours , while a dip in pressure in the Bay of Bengal will bring extremely heavy rains to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh over 24 hours , the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast said on Monday.

receiving

Monsoon
rains
since

month.

Maharashtra has been receiving continuous rains for the last couple of days. In the last day, rains have increased over Vidarbha that received light to moderate showers with isolated heavy. As per predicted by Skymet Weather, Mumbai may receive scattered light rains with one or two places getting a short spell of moderate showers as well. The maximum temperature will be recorded around 29 degree Celsius and humidity around 82 percent.
Kerala:
