Chennai, April 21: As the mystery surrounding the death of J Jayalalithaa is refusing to die down soon, a relative of Sasikala Natarajan-- the close-aide of Amma (as Jayalalithaa was popularly known among her supporters) -- claimed that he has video evidence to prove that the former Tamil Nadu chief minister was kept like a 'mighty lion' during her last days.

In a Facebook post, Sasikala's nephew, Jeyanandh Dhivakaran, said that he was ready to reveal video clips from the last days of Jayalalithaa in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, where she was undergoing treatment till her death. Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on September 22 last year and was declared dead by the hospital authorities on December 5 last year.

Jeyanandh added that the video clips clearly showed the kind of 'good' relationship shared between Jayalalithaa and Sasikala. The Facebook post of Jeyanandh said, "Even after been coined as a murderer, Amma's picture was not revealed by Sasikala as her enemies should not see her clad in a green gown. Chinnamma (as Sasikala is known to her supporters) took this decision. "We kept her as a mighty lion until her death and bid adieu. But O Panneerselvam, just to garner votes, placed her in a coffin and paraded her," he said.

He added, "Truth is strong and what if the videos of Amma's and Chinnamma's conversations surface one day? What should we do to PH Pandian and Manoj K Pandian?"

It was the Pandian brothers who first alleged that Jayalalithaa was murdered and her death should be investigated.

The Facebook post of Sasikala's nephew has come at a time when talks of merger between the two camps of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam -- one lead by Panneerselvam and the second by TN CM Edappadi Palanisamy -- are doing the rounds.

The coming together of both the camps were made possible after a defiant Panneerselvam made sure that Sasikala, now lodged in a Bengaluru jail, and her nephew TTV Dinakaran, charged for bribing officials of the Election Commission, were thrown out of the party. Even Panneerselvam demanded an investigation into the death of Jayalalithaa.

Since the time Jayalalithaa died last year, several public interest litigations have been filed in the Madras high court demanding probe into the circumstances leading to the death of the former supremo of the AIADMK.

According to a latest PIL filed by P Balamurugan, a serving Indian revenue service officer, in the Madras HC, the former CM was either brought dead to Apollo Hospitals or died within two days after her admission to the hospital.
