Watch: Cops tow away vehicle as lady breast-feeds her baby
An inquiry has been ordered after a video of cops towing away a vehicle while a lady was breast-feeding her baby surfaced. The incident took place at Malad (west), Mumbai.
The video was shot by an unidentified driver who streamed the incident live on Facebook.
The driver repeatedly pleads to leave the car, which was supposedly parked in a no-parking zone, and take the fine. "I requested him to leave the car and take the fine, but they are not ready to," the man is heard telling spectators who have gathered.
Watch video:
A constable identified as Shashank Rane does not give in. The video also shows that Rane did not sport a badge. The video also shows the man telling the cop not to tow the car. Take the fine, I am right here, he also says.
The woman also yells at the cop to slow down the car as she was breast-feeding her baby. The constable gets down and then hops back on to the van and continues to tow the vehicle.
The lady claims that there were two other vehicles parked in front of her car, but they were not towed. Amitesh Kumar, joint commissioner of police (traffic) said that an inquiry has been ordered into the matter.
