Warangal: Proof of Satavahana dynasty found
Warangal, Aug 3: Historians in Warangal have found evidence from the Satavahana dynasty here, which had remained unexplored by the archaeology department in the district.
Among the objects found include pottery, stone carvings and broken pieces of statues.
Local historian, Ratnakar Reddy, along with researchers at Geesugonda, said that there are many areas where remains belonging to the Satavahana era that still remain to be unravelled.
The site Geesugonda is 17 kilometers from Warangal.
