Vaishnodevi pilgrim dies of heart attack
Jammu, Jun 3: A 66-year-old Vaishno Devi-bound pilgrim died apparently after suffering a heart attack in Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
Shankar Ram, hailing from Rajasthan, fell unconscious yesterday near Lambikeri from where he was shifted to a nearby dispensary where doctors declared him brought dead, a police officer said.
The apparent cause of death seems to be heart attack, he said. The body has been shifted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Katra for legal and medical formalities, the officer said, adding, a case has been registered in connection with the matter.
