Priyanka Gandhi's mega roadshow in Lucknow: 'Promote leaders from the ground', Rahul to Priyanka
Lucknow, Feb 11: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra remained mum on the first day of her five-day maiden trip as the General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh east as her brother Congress President Rahul Gandhi did all the talking at the UP Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday.
She was accompanied by Jyotiraditya Scindia who has been appointed as the General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh West.
After the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathering and said, "Priyanka and Scindia to raise ground level; workers to resurrect Congress in Uttar Pradesh while targetting assembly election. The entire team which stands here has the responsibility to ensure Congress govt is formed in the state. In UP, BJP should go out and Congress should be formed. "
Rahul Gandhi laid down the agenda of the roadshow during his address saying, "The aim behind sending Priyanka and Jyotiraditya to Uttar Pradesh is to form the government in the state apart from the upcoming Lok Sabha elections."

Ahead of Lucknow roadshow, Priyanka Gandhi joins Twitter
The party in Uttar Pradesh is seeing the visit as the virtual launch of the Congress campaign in the state, ahead of the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Ahead of her Lucknow roadshow, Priyanka Gandhi has made her Twitter debut . Minutes before the roadshow, Congress party's official Twitter handle announced that the party's eastern UP in-charge has joined the social networking site.
