The Kerala assembly was marred by ruckus on Monday over political killings in the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan alleged that a fake propaganda was fuelled by a political agenda.

"I was warned by the intelligence wing that the BJP would adopt violent ways to divert people's attention from the medical council affiliation scam. The state had taken precautionary measures after the intel report," said Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the assembly. "The fake propaganda against the state is huge and there is a clear political agenda behind it," he added.

The CPM and Congress leaders accused the BJP of attempting to divert public attention from a graft allegation against one of its leaders. Congress used the opportunity to attack the CPM as well as the BJP over the issue. "The CPM is giving a facelift to the BJP that was struggling after the medical college corruption allegation surfaced," Congress MLA K Muraleedharan said in the assembly.

Vijayan told the house that the state government was willing to transfer the bribery allegations to the CBI to inquire.

Arun Jaitley who had visited the state on Sunday accused the state government of keeping mum on the political killings and the CPM for failing to reign in its cadres. "Kerala deserves peace, not the LDF. LDF's violence would put even terrorists to shame," Jaitley had said after visiting the family of slain RSS worker Rajesh.
