The Association of Victims of Uphaar Fire Tragedy (AVUT) had sought an order to restrain them from flying abroad.

assured
the
apex
court
that
they
will
not
leave
India
till
it
commences
hearing
on
the
plea
of
the
victims' association
of
the
1997
Uphaar
fire
tragedy
seeking
review
of
its
2015
verdict.
The next hearing in this case has been set for December 14.
The Supreme Court had last year refused to entertain a plea filed against the Delhi High Court order quashing criminal proceeding lodged for allegedly threatening Association of Victims of Uphaar Tragedy (AVUT) chairperson.
Fifty-nine

and

in
the
subsequent
stampede
on
June
13,
1997
during
the

of
