UP Shocker: Woman dancer refused to dance on a proposed song, shot dead
Lucknow, April 24: A 23-year-old orchestra dancer has been shot dead in Uttar Pradesh. Police arrested the accused who hails from Bihar.
The incident took place in a marriage ceremony. The accused was the friend of the groom. He reportedly had asked the dancer to dance on a same song again and again.
The dancer, who has been identified as Peehu, a resident of West Bengal, was shot at her chest when she refused to dance on the same song repeatedly.
Police informed that the body of the victim has been sent for postmortem. Meanwhile, giving details of the incident, one police official was quoted as saying, "The girl accepted his demand twice, but he continued to ask her to dance on the same song again."
"When the girl did not pay heed, Kumar shot her in the chest with a countrymade pistol," he added.
