A dispute over students and jealousy led one tuition teacher to stab another to death in Mumbai's Malad on Thursday evening. The police have said that there was an ongoing dispute between the two over the students for the past few days, said reports.
The accused, Vijay Harjan, was apparently miffed over 10 students joining the tutions classes held by Arup Biswas, the victim. On Thursday evening, a verbal fight broke out between the two after which Harjan stabbed Biswas.
Harjan later surrendered before the police after committing the crime.
"At least, 10 children this month joined Arup Biswas's classes to which the accused did not approve of and out of jealousy he took the step," an ANI report quoted police as saying.
