TTV bribery case: When cops ran from court to court looking for a judge

It was a big bust and they needed his custody urgently. However in order to seek the custody of Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the man who promised T T V Dinakaran the AIADMK's two leaves symbol, the Delhi Crime Branch needed a judge. Sukesh was arrested with Rs 1.3 crore from a hotel in South Delhi and it is alleged that this was the money that was given to him to bribe Election Commission of India officials.

After the arrest there was a lot of drama with the officers of the special branch running from court to court in search of a judge. At 4.40 pm, Sukesh was produced before the special judge Poonam Choudhary. However the judge was on half day's leave following which he was taken to the court hall 313 presided over by M K Nagpal. He was unavailable too..

The police then took Sukesh to court hall 139 presided over by Hemani Malhotra, but she was not there too. This was followed by the officials taking him to Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satish Kumar Arora who was also not present.

Finally the police gave up and took Sukesh to the residence of of a judge. It was finally out that there were able to secure his custody for questioning. Before the judge he confessed that he was the middleman who was to bribe ECI officials to get Dinakaran the two leaves symbol of the AIADMK.
