Trouble for Alka Lamba: Delhi Police registers FIR against AAP MLA for tresspassing, assualt

New Delhi, Aug 10: Hours after the CCTV footage showing AAP MLA Alka Lamba vandalising a shop in North Delhi's Kashmere Gate area, the police on Monday registered a case against her for alleged trespassing and assault.

As per a CNN-IBN report, an FIR was registered against Alka Lamba under sections 451, 427, 186, 353 of the IPC. The CCTV footage showed that Lamba straight away reached to the shop counter and started throwing away things, following which, her supporters also vandalised the shop.

Delhi Police registers FIR against Lamba

The shop owner had registered the case against Lamba for vandalising his sweet shop.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said, "We have got to know about CCTV footage. We'll examine and then will proceed."

Aam Padmi party leader Alka Lamba was attacked by some unidentified persons in North Delhi's Kashmiri Gate area on Sunday morning after which a 19-year-old was also arrested for throwing a stone at AAP leader during her anti-drug drive.

However, Lamba has clarified on the same said that the CCTV footage actually shows the incident which happened after she was attacked.
