Tripura: BJP releases booklet to "expose the real face" of CPI (M)
Agartala, Feb 9: BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Friday said the saffron party wants to "free" Tripura of the CPI(M) "misrule". He appealed to the voters of the state to cast the ballot without any fear and expressed confidence the BJP-IPFT alliance would win the February 18 assembly election.
We are releasing the misrule of CPM in Tripura for last 2 decades, in the form of a chargesheet. It's not a matter of joy for us. We're pained that people of Tripura are suffering at the hands of CPM & we want to bring people out of this misery: Ram Madhav, BJP National Gen Secy pic.twitter.com/cUKdipb5v5

The ruling Left Front is in power for 25 years in Tripura. Releasing a campaign booklet, named "Chargesheet", he alleged that crime rate in Tripura was the "highest" in the country and that the law and order machinery is "controlled" by ruling CPI(M) cadres. Madhav alleged Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was a "protector" of corrupt, criminal and oppressive party cadres.
The booklet accuses the CPI(M) and other Left parties of indulging in corruption, criminal activities and scams. The booklet would be distributed in every booth and village of the state to "expose the real face" of Left Front government, the BJP leader said and demanded replies from Sarkar.
Madhav said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would visit Agartala on February 11 and release the BJP's 'vision document' for the state. The document will be the party's poll manifesto, he said.
Madhav said BJP president Amit Shah will visit the state on February 11 and 12 to campaign for the party. Union minister Nitin Gadkari, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, MP and filmstar Hema Malini, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu would be star campaigners for the party in Tripura, the BJP general secretary said.
The BJP poll campaign would end with a rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Agartala on February 15, he said. The PM would address a public meeting at Shantirbazaar in South Tripura district ahead of the rally at Agartala, Madhav added.
