To win elections, politician promises to get Virat Kohli, but then this happened
Politicians can go to any extent to make poll promises. Here is the story of one such politicians who had promised the voters that he would bring Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team captain as the chief guest. What happened after that is hilarious and do read below.
Vitthal Ganpat Ghavate is contesting for the post of Sarpanch in the Ramlinga Gram Panchayat in Shirur. To lure the voters, he said that he would bring Kohli for an election rally on May 25.
He even went ahead and put up a billboard with his photograph along with that of Kohli's. The people obviously went into a tizzy. People gathered in huge numbers and were getting ready to click selfies. At the end of it, the people realised that they had been fooled and Ghavate brought in a duplicate or look-alike.
The gaffe went viral on social media with Twitter user Alexis Rooney's post.
